Baby Boy Banks Update - Week 33!!!

Here we are in Week 33 (out of 40) and in the 1st week of the 9th month (out of 10 months per my pregnancy books)! My how time has flown!!!!!! I seriously cannot believe it.
BBB is now 4&1/2 pounds and about 17 inches from his head to feet!! He moves almost constantly and very much dislikes for anything to touch my belly/his castle, he kicked the TV remote off yesterday, tee-hee!
I also notice that when I am talking he rarely moves, but when I am quiet he is bopping all around, which leads me to believe he is listening in when he hears me & other noises and plays when he doesn't. I know I am biased, but surely this is a sign of his brilliance!
Here is a photo of me on 4/28/09 to show you how big he is getting. But just for the record-I can still see my toes, my belly button has not turned inside out and I don't have any stretch marks...yet. I am definitely hoping to avoid the later two.
Also below are 2 pictures of the coolest Stroller and Baby Carrier/Car Seat on the planet, which belongs to and are eagerly awaiting (along with Andrew, Emily and me) the arrival of BBB!!!!

We have not yet gotten his room set up, but the crib and dresser have been ordered & should be in this weekend or sometime next week! It'll be great to be able to get his room ready soon. Just 48 days until BBB is due!!!
About a week ago I walked past his room, where the baby items are starting to accumulate and I thought, "Wow, in less than 2 months that is going to be somebody I know and loves bedroom.", and I was so happy I wanted to cry. Also for the record-I have not cried over any commercials, everyone asks me that and I haven't even came close once to crying over a commercial.
Thank you for checking in. Please continue to pray for a healthy baby and safe delivery.

Yves!

Our dear friend, Yves, came from Chicago for a visit last weekend!!! It turned out to be a lovely weekend, in the 70s & sunny!
Emily got to spend some special time with Yves on Friday (4/17) when Yves picked her up from school and they ran all over town doing whatever they thought was fun including: shopping, eating out, touring Dow High School, visiting Northwood University, and more!
Yves friend, Kien, came by and it was fun to see him again as well! He now lives in New York City.
Yves brought some adorable gifts for Baby Boy Banks including: the outfits in the above photo, a Baby "Bach" Classical Music CD (that BBB & I are already listening to-it's great!), and much needed Diapers! Andrew is particularly fond of the bib, check it out!
We had a terrific time catching up with them and hanging out, like old times, when Yves was our "International Student", several years ago.
And what thoughtful and wonderful gifts, Thank you again Yves for the gifts and the great time!!!! We have missed you SO much and sure enjoyed the time we spent together!

Easter & Rocking Chair

Easter Day - (4/12/09)

Here are a few photos from our lovely Easter Day. We had a special day at home with lots of fun included. Andrew made us a yummy breakfast, Andrew & Emily hunted for their baskets, Emily & I colored eggs, we played games and had homemade pizza for dinner!! It was a perfect day, though it could have been warmer. (I thought Easter meant Spring is here too - guess not in Michigan.)

On 4/10/09, Andrew & I shopped long and hard all over Saginaw for a crib & dresser. We finally found one we like for decent quaility at a somewhat reasonable price at Babies R Us, but we decided to wait for it to go on sale, before purchaing it as we do have some time yet.
We struck out when it came to a Rocking Chair or Glidder though, so on 4/11/09, we decided to keep looking for the chair. We ended up finding it in Clare, at Benchly's Amish Furniture Store. We are pleased!!!!! It is called, the Daisy Rocking Chair, and it is exactly what we were looking for. Plus we had a coupon & a gift certificate we could use there, making this purchase a very good deal. Woot-woot! I love getting a good deal! Now I just can't wait to get our baby in my arms and into that chair. He's gonna love it!

Sucker Fishing in Omer, MI (4/4/09)

Hi! So we went Sucker fishing last weekend! Yeah-I know pretty redneck of us, but it was fun! We caught plenty of leaves, and zero fish-bummer! It was a beautiful, sunny day (about 50F) so we enjoyed being outside, even though we were skunked.

On our way home Emily drove most of the way (Yikes, j/k-she does well), we ate a local restaurant called Wheeler's and stopped by William's Cheese shop! We had a fun day, and were glad for the warm, sunny day!

Week 30!

Hi there!! Woot-woot, we are now in week 30! Time is flying, I seriously cannot believe it! In just 7 weeks, I will be FULL TERM!
I am starting to feel a little panicked-there is still so much to do: get BBB's room ready, buy a crib, rocker and dresser, have the baby shower, come up with our "birth plan", have a garage sale of our own (this isn't a must-but I'd sure like to), attend our Birth Classes (which start tomorrow!), figure out everything we still need to get after the baby shower, then shop & garage sale for all of that, finish reading my PG books....ah! And do all of this while we are still working and leading our normal lives, is it possible? I hope so.
Emily started the count down on Friday, when she informed me that there are only 73 days until my due date. I guess I hadn't thought about it, but I assumed we were still in triple digits...ah!-again, definitely feeling pinched for time now! Tee-hee!
According to my PG books BBB is 3lbs and almost 16 inches long this week!! He is so darn cute!
Thanks for tuning in.
Love,
The very soon & excited to be moma
