Pumpkins!

Hi there! We are getting close to "Trick or Treat" day & last night we joined our new International Student, Crystal, to carve pumpkins! Crystal is from China. We have met with her a few times now & she is a real sweetie! This is the 1st time she has ever carved a pumpkin! We all had lots of fun & they turned out pretty good! Take a look!

And now for a true Halloween Story by - Liz Curtis-Higgs:
"A woman was asked by a coworker, 'What is it like to be a Christian?'
The coworker replied, 'It is like being a pumpkin.'
God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then He cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed.
Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see.' "

Luke 19: 10 - "For the Son of Man (Jesus) came to seek and to save what was lost (us)."
Happy Halloween Everyone!

Autumn in Mid-Michigan

It is definitely Autumn in Mid-Michigan and we have a particularly gorgeous color display this year!
These photos are from the trees in our very own yard! Please enjoy the variety of colors along with us! In a few weeks or so they will all be on the ground (Fall), want to come help rake? LOL!
By the way for those of you who live in this area, Diamond Drive in Midland, supposedly has some of the nicest color displays in all of Midland County. If you check out Diamond Drive let us know what you think.
Welcome to our colorful yard - Ta-dah!!!

Happy Fall Everyone!

Our Emily is a Cheerleader-Go Chargers Go!

Hi, So in case you didn't know our Emily is a Sophomore at Dow High School and is on the Cheer Squad.
Here are a few photos of our darling Cheerleader at the freezing, cold & raining game tonight!!! The weather was terrible, but it was fun to watch her! GO Emily & GO DOW HIGH!!!!

In this 1st photo on the left, Emily is the adorable blonde in the back. In the photo on the right, she is the one with her pony-tail flying after she landed a jump! You can pick her out in the rest of the photos, I am sure. (Click on any photo to enlarge it.)

On September 12, Emily's Cheer Squad had a "Cheer Clinic" fundraiser where little girls could come learn Cheers & a Dance Routine from real, live DHS Cheer Leaders, LOL!!! They were so excited! It really was a cool event & about 75 little girls participated. After they learned their cheers & ate dinner, they were taken to a DHS Football Game where they preformed the Cheers & Dance that they learned. Fun was had by all. Here are photos of Emily with her "girls" practicing and performing! Aren't they cuties?!?!
